Canadian PM kicks off his shoes and takes a (short) walk on the beach in Colombia
Faced with stress and tight schedules during the Summit of the Americas in Colombia, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper lost the shirt and shoes as he took a relaxing walk along the beach.
Harper garnered a lot of attention from local beach-goers in Cartagena as he leisurely walked along the shore with his hulky security team
The walk lasted all of 10 minutes, but those who happened to spot the impromptu (but hardly romantic) stroll got a look at the more relaxed Stephen Harper that's normally hidden inside his more serious and rigid exterior.
The Canadian media wasn't alerted to the walk, but photographers soon caught on thanks to the large security team that accompanied Harper.
In explaining the walk, Harper's communications director said "it was a long summit," and noted he had a long flight to Chile ahead of him.
