Both locals and tourists like to visit this beach. By far the most ideal swimming beach on the island. A wide, offshore reef here provides shelter and calm waters perfect for swimming. Surfing, windsurfing, sailing and kayaking are some of the popular nautical activities. It has turquoise waters and powder-soft sands and, of course, coconut palms.
2. Pāpōhaku Beach Park
One of Hawaii's largest beache. Two words to describe it : absolutely gorgeous! The sand is soft and you can enjoy some waves when you're close to the shore. Picnic tables and toilets are available. Highly recommended if you are a beach type person!
3. Duke Paoa Kahanamoku Lagoon
If you have small children, this is a great place for them because the lagoon offers calm waters. The Hilton Hawaii Rainbow tower is right next to it offering nice shade for those without an umbrella.
4. Hanauma Bay, Oahu
The best spot to go snorkelling near Waikiki. It is also fun to experience the Hawaiian natuical wildlife. Try feeding the fish! They are lots of them in this beautiful little area. To avoid crowds of tourists, try going to the far left end; it's less crowded and there are thousands and thousands of fish all around.
5. Ke'e Beach
Ke'e Beach offers beautiful views, amazing sand and the clearerest water from miles around. Great for families especially if you plan to stay all day. A good place to break away from everything and enjoy the wonders of mother nature. Mahalo!
